            Rajasthan is the land of Forts and Kings with its rich historical culture. And their culture will have a different flavor with each different place. It is one of the most popular destination for tourists in India. And is best for International tourists also. Rajasthan's slogan itself welcomes tourists that is 'Padharo Mhare Desh', it attracts tourists because of its historical places, forts, culture and art. Due to the part of  "Golden Triangle" for tourists, every third Foreign Tourist visiting India travels to Rajasthan. The many places of Jaipur, Jhodhpur, Bikaner, Udaipur, Jaisalmer are the most preferred places to visit in Rajasthan. Many  forts,old places etc. were neglected they are now converted into heritage places.                 Jaipur is the capital city of the Rajasthan. Jaipur was founded by the Kachwaha Rajput Ruler Sawai Jaisingh II in 1727. Sawai Jaisingh II was the Ruler of Amber. Jaipur is the largest city in the state which is also known as the 'Pink city of India', due to the pink color of buildings. The planning of the city was done according to Indian Architecture known as Vedic Vastu Shastra. 2. Udaipur:-
 



                Udaipur is also known as the name of 'Venice of East'. And the city is known as the city of lakes. It was the capital the Sisodiya Rajputs of Mewar and is famous for its large palaces and they are best examples of finesse of Rajputana Style architecture. In 1553, Udaipur was founded by Sisodiya Rajput Ruler Maharana Udai Singh II. The Mewar Rajputs relocated their capital from Chittore to Udaipur because Udaipur was more secure location than Chittore at that time. Today, most of the palaces of Udaipur have been converted into hotels, so they attracts a huge no. of tourists crowd to city. The city's location is unique at the foothill's of the Aravallli Mountains. Apart from palaces, Forts, Markets places and Temples are also the reason for attraction of tourists. The city itself have a railway station by which people can reach there.

                    Jodhpur is the second largest city of Rajasthan. The Rathore Rajput Ruler, Rao Jodha Singh of Marwar founded the city in 1459. It is also the second most populated city of state. After the fall of former capital of Mandore, the Jodhpur was founded as Marwar's new capital. As it enjoys a bright sunny weather, Jodhpur is also called as the Sun City. As it lies at a distance of 250 km from the Indo-Pakistan border, it is considered to be the most important city of western Rajasthan. And Jodhpur is important tourists destination because it lies in the center of state. It has been listed many times in different documentaries and tourism magazines. In 2014, Jodhpur topped the lonely planet's list of most extraordinary place to stay. In Jodhpur, Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jaswant Thada, Kailana Lake, Mandore Garden, Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, Clock Tower, Balsamand Lake, Chamunda Mata Temple, Masuria Hills Garden, etc. are the places to visit. 
                    The city have railway junction and the airport of Jodhpur is 3km away from the city.  From October to March is the best time to visit Jodhpur.

4. Jaisalmer:-


                    As the city lies in the heart of the Thar Desert, it is known as the 'golden city' of the state Rajasthan. The Bhati Rajput Ruler Maharawal Jaisal Singh founded the city in 1156 Ad. The city gets its name from the golden colored sandstone used in the city's architecture and the same golden sands of the Thar Desert. Due to magnificient architecture and various unique crafts and arts to this region, this is famous tourist spot. The most unique frature of Jaisalmer is its architecture. It is known as one of the largest forts in the world because it was built as walled city. There are many different places to visit in Jaisalmer like, Jaisalmer Fort, Bada Bagh, Patwon-Ki-Haveli, Sam Sand Dunes, Thar Heritage Museum, Gadisar Lake, Nathmal Ki Haveli, Jain Temple, etc. Jaisalmer have a railway station and the nearest airport is Jodhpur airport.
                 Jaisalmer is famous for mirror work embriodery, jewellery, camel leather products, etc. which is available everywhere in markets of city. In winter the temperature remains between 5-24 degrees centigrade, so best time to visit Jaisalmer and enjoy all the activities is from November to March.

5. Bikaner:-
 



                    In 1488, the Rathore Rajput Ruler Rao Bika founded this city. Bikaner is famous for snacks and sweets. And it is one of the most visited tourism destination of Rajasthan. Bikaner is specially known for its food and forts. The uniqueness of this place is different crafts and arts and especially the intricately carved windows known as Jharokhas. If you want to experience the authentic taste of Rajasthani cuisines then should visit the Bikaner. 6. Pushkar:-


                    Pushkar is lies in the district Ajmer of state Rajasthan. The holy city (Pushkar) is described as the king of pilgrimage sites in India. Pushkar is one of the oldest cities of India and the date of its origin is not known to peoples and is associated to Hindu mythologies. The town is lies at the shores of the Pushkar Lake and according to myths the lake was created by the Lord Shiva's tears. Pushkar is famous for various Ghats and Temples. The water of the lake is considered sacred and thus is responsible for the town's repute as a pilgrimage spot. Many tourist attracts towards Pushkar because of annual camel fair. It is five days fair in which people buy and sell livestock. Also the fair is home to tourists because of music, dance and various events that held during the camel fair. Also the camel races are one of the major attraction of peoples. The city is very relaxing and beautifully situated around the lake. And it is different from the other cities of Rajasthan. 
                    The main attractions of Pushkar are some competitions like 'matka phod', 'longest moustache' and 'bridal competitin'. The best time to visit the town is from November to March because during this time the weather is pleasant and the desert is friendly for those safaries. The nearest airport for Pushkar is Sanganer airport located in Jaipur which is 146 km away and the nearest railway station is Ajmer which is 11 km away from the Pushkar.


7. Sawai Madhopur:-



                    Kachwaha Rajput's Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh were built the Sawai Madhopur and was founded in 1763. The city does not have much notable tourist attractions. But just two points made this a must visit place they are The Ranthambore Fort and The Ranthambore National Park. Before the time of India received the independence Ranthambore forests were the hunting grounds for Kachwaha Rajputs. After independence it was established as the Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary and in 1973, it rose to being a tiger reserve and in 1980 got National Park Status. Tourists also visits the Ranthambore Fort which is part of the UNSESCO world heritage site. This fort is situated in Ranthambore National Park's forest. The places to visit in Sawai Madhopur are Ranthambore National Park, Chamatkar Temple, Chauth Mata Temple, Ranthamnore Fort, Khandar Fort, etc.
                There are some unique things in Sawai Madhopur like Dhonk, Dastkar Ranthambore, Rural Women Craft, Chaeetal Handicrafts, etc. The best time to visit the Sawai Madhopur is from October to April. And nearest railway station for city is Sawai Madhopur Junction in city itself and the nearest airport is Jaipur which is 105 kms from the Sawai Madhopur. 


8. Chittorgarh:-    



                The city Chittorgarh is also known as the Chittor and was founded by the Maurya Dynasty. The Ruler of the Sisodiya Rajput Clan of Mewar captured the city in 734 Ad and made it the Capital of Mewar. This place is also known as the birhtplace of many historical figures and great worriors like the Great Maharana Pratap and the Hindu saint, Meera Bai. The city contains many different palaces, temples and forts which shows the most advanced architectural designs and artistic mastery. Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort in India and is one of the major places to visit in Chittorgarh. The 1st Sisodiya Rajput Ruler Bappa Rawal founded this city in 7th century. Before the relocation to Udaipur, Chittorgarh was the former capital of mewar. The fort spreads over 2.8 sq km area and it is 1075 meters above the sea level and it is an perfect example of Rajput Style architecture. 
                 Chittorgarh Fort, Meera Temple, Rana Kumbah Palace, Rani Padmini Palace, Vijay Stambh, Fateh Prakash Palace, Kriti Stambh, etc. are the places to visit in Chittorgarh. The city have the railway facility and the best time to visit Chittorgarh is from October to March. 

9. Mount Abu:-



                        It is the Only Hill Station in the desert state Rajasthan which is 1220 m above the sea level. It is situated in the Aravalli mountain range. Mount Abu is a part of Sirohi district of state near the Gujarat. The place offers many religious and historical things to visitors. The Mount Abu is well known for Dilware Jain Temples. As mentioned in Hindu Epic Mahabharata, it is the place where the Great Sage Vasistha retired. Mount Abu was known as the Arbuda Mountain. The Mount Abu houses many ancient points and temples. The place is heavenly retreat for the sun scorched people of Rajasthan. The place having green surroundings and many picnic points. It offers a relatively cool climate. In the center of town there is a lake called as Nakki Lake and it is famous boating spot. 
                        There are some other places to visit in Mount Abu like Dilwara Jain Temples, Guru Shikar, Achalgarh, Nakki Lake, Sunset Point, Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple, Trevor's tank, Mount Abu Bazaars, Wildlife Sanctuary, Toad Rock, etc. Abu road railway station which is 28 km away from Mount Abu. The best time to visit the Ajmer is from November to March.


10. Ajmer:-  


                    Ajmer is a city speeded with history and culture also. It is located near Pushakr which is Hindu pilgrimage site and is surrounded by Aravalli rages. Ajmer is the home of the shrine of the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. This makes it unique place for not only Muslim but Hindu also. Apart from this, there are many historical sites also and therefore many tourists from all over the world comes to visit Ajmer every year. Ajmer was selected as heritage site for HRIDAY (Heritage City Development and Augmentation Yojana) scheme of Indian Government in 2015. There are many points to visit in Ajmer like Ajmer Sharif Dargah, Taragarh Fort, Adhai Din Ka Jhopra, Abkari Fort and Museum, Anasagar Lake, Soniji ki Nasiyan, etc.

                       The city itself have a railway junction and the Jaipur airport is the nearest airport which is 132 km away from Ajmer. Usually summers remains hot in Ajmer so due to pleasant weather the best time to visit this place is from October to February.
